This stream of visa is for the People's Republic of China citizen, who regularly travel to Australia for business or other purposes.

What you must do

You are a citizen of the People's Republic of China and hold a passport.
Give biometrics at an Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC) or an Australian Biometric Collection Centre (ABCC) before lodging your Visitor visa (subclass 600) Frequent Traveller stream application.
Biometric collection is not yet available in the People's Republic of China. If you cannot collect biometrics outside the country, then you cannot come for the Frequent Traveller stream at this time.
You may be able to lodge other visas , some of which you will not need to give biometrics for.

This visa allows you to

  • Visit family or friends.
  • Travel as a tourist, on a cruise, or for a holiday.
  • Engage in business visitor activities

Duration of Stay

Your visa may be granted for up to 10 years.
You may enter Australia as many times as you wish whilst your visa is valid, but in each entry, you may only stay for:

  • Three months at a time
  • A total of 12 months within any one 24-month period.

The number of days that you'll be allowed in the country is indicated in your visa grant letter.

Stay longer in Australia

You can't stay any longer in Australia on this visa-you need to apply for another one.
If you are already in Australia and your existing visa does not have a condition which would prevent you staying longer, for example 8503, you may be eligible to make a new application to stay longer. On some occasions, you might be able to request the non-return condition 8503 be waived.
You cannot breach condition 8573, which limits your stay to 12 months within any 24-month period, or condition 8531, requiring you to leave Australia by the end of your visa's validity.
You may have a choice of several visas available.

Include Family Members

Family members cannot be included in the application for a visa. Each family member, including all of whom are mentioned in your passport, has to apply separately.

Newborn Child

In most cases, though, children are born after the applications have been submitted. So, you'd probably want to know what you need to do.

It costs AUD1,435.00 for the applicant in one case. There could be other costs associated with health checks, police certificates, and biometrics, among others.

Travel

You may leave Australia and return as often as you want while your visa is valid. However, time spent outside Australia has no impact on the validity period of your visa.

Your visa will be digitally linked to your passport, and you will not get a physical label in your passport.

Be an Actual Visitor

Applicants must intend to:

  • Live temporarily in Australia
  • Any conditions and the stay period as specified in their visa should be followed

Best Interest of the Child

It may not be granted if, not in the best interests of an applicant under age 18.

The application fee is non-refundable in case of refusal.

Please note, you cannot work in Australia on a Visitor visa, but volunteer work may be permitted.
